About Us
We are a nondenominational church that has been ministering in Charlotte County, Florida, since 1991 with Frank Vargo as Senior Pastor. The name “Freedom” comes from 2 Corinthians 3:17, "Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom."
We strive to be free from man-made religion, man-made politics, and man-made philosophies. Our desire is to be a God-centered church, not man-centered.

What to Expect
Real people. We're not perfect and we don't have all the answers. Our goal is to point to the One who does: Jesus.
Relaxed atmosphere. When we look at Scripture, we see an emphasis on people, not on their clothing. We care about YOU, not the clothes you are wearing. If you like dressing casual, go ahead. If you prefer to wear a suit, then please do so. If you're visiting , you won't be singled out or asked to say anything - nor will you be asked to give financially.
Authentic Worship. We believe the Bible is the Word of God and is relevant in today's society. Our Pastors preach practical messages and go verse by verse through a book of the Bible. The worship music is led by our band. We sing modern worship songs and traditional hymns set to a modern sound. You may have heard some of the songs we sing on the radio. Our goal is to honor God in everything we do.
Safe place for kids. All of our children's teachers are required to submit to a thorough background check. If you bring your kids, you can check them in/out every Sunday with our Children's Ministry. We take the security of our kids seriously. Loving volunteers care for our babies and toddlers. There's also rooms for preschool and children's church. Our goal is to help our children become true disciples of Jesus Christ by building relationships with them, being examples for them and teaching them God’s Word. Whether you have been around church your entire life or this is your first time, you are welcome at Freedom!

What should I wear?
We want you to dress comfortably. When we look at Scripture, we see an emphasis on people, not on their clothing. If you'd prefer to wear jeans and a t-shirt, go ahead. If you'd prefer a suit and tie, please do so. It’s truly “come as you are!”
